There was some misrepresentation of details which I don’t believe are fair to clients. I was under the impression that I would be doing a reading with Ann Faith which is described throughout their pages on yelp and on their website. Upon arrival, it was shared that the individual doing my reading was the daughter of Ann Faith. Additionally, the reading I opted into was a life journey reading where she described the use of palm reading, tarot reading and pictures for past, present and future information. We did use all items listed but unfortunately none of the information shared resonated with me at all. The readings are done without a timeframe associated with them so that it goes based off what is needed for you personally. They also had a very random approach to reading and incorporating each method of tarot and palm reading. All this to say, it wasn’t my preference in style of reading. I think I could have had a better experience if I came with more questions or asked more questions up front about the process before paying. Overall, I felt that the price I paid was not worth the time and information I got from it. I won’t know any of the future details until they come and would like to think she was genuine. However, she did not make me feel that way which caused me to leave dissatisfied.

Went for a reading and was told that I had the same gift she does, to connect to the spiritual realm. She could help me but she would have to clear out the bad energy and realign my chakras. After that she would be able to help me use my abilities. She stated that she didn’t offer that service to everyone but since she felt I had the gift, I just had to pay her $300.00 for materials! I asked her once you’re done, will I be able to connect with the spiritual realm. She said YES! I quickly said ok, let’s do it! She told me to sleep in white, buy some white flowers to place in my home and gave me a white candle to keep lit for 3 days. We met again 3 days later and she told me my negative energy was too strong and that I now needed to pay her $700.00 for more materials! I thought to myself WOW!I I immediately felt sad and hurt because I thought I found someone that really cared and wanted to help me. I never got upset, because I truly believe she’s the real deal. I just wish she would have finished at the agreed amount or at least offered a refund since she wasn’t able to complete the services. No hard feelings, I will keep looking for someone that truly wants to help me.

the people who work here are weird. my partner and I stopped in to look a the pendants and rings in the case. when we walked in 3 people at the counter just glared at us without saying anything. it felt unwelcoming and off. we went over to the case to look and someone walked over, disregarded us, and went to the little back room. another worker did the same thing so we just left. tbh I would avoid this place the energy is off.

This review is going to delve a little more personal than my typical posts, but it’s for an experience I’d like to share publicly. I grew up in a conservative household, so visiting a psychic was always considered dangerous and off limits. While this wasn’t my first visit to one, it was the most scarily accurate. So let’s go back in time a bit.One sunny Saturday morning in May, I was feeling desperately alone and in horrible pain. I was sitting in a hospital parking lot having just undergone yet another medical procedure to find out what was causing the issue. I didn’t have weekend plans and hated the idea of going home to an empty apartment. I searched psychics on Yelp and Aquarian popped up. I gave them a ring and asked if there was any immediate availability. I was able to schedule a reading with Kristin for half an hour later.She was in a reading when I arrived so I waited a few minutes. I scheduled 45 minutes for $60. Her title is Tarot Intuitive, Empath and Pendulum Reader, which aligned with my goals for the session. I’m giving you an idea of the timeline so it’s not questioned if she Googled me ahead of time to gain some idea about my life. Not to mention, she made comments during the session that she couldn’t have found online or otherwise known without special abilities.Among those:- I asked if I’d start to date someone any time soon. She replied by telling me I’d need my gallbladder removed and gave other specific insights into what I’d need to work on interally prior to opening myself up to someone else. The test I had that day was inconclusive, but two weeks later I had another test that diagnosed the problem, was referred to a surgeon, and my gallbladder was removed in mid-June. I’m no longer in daily pain and my quality of life is eons better now.- I told her how alone I felt due to not having a connected friend group anymore. I was isolated away from a few formerly close friends in another city. I still don’t know all the details as to why, but I was heartbroken for a long time as I thought they were friendships that would last forever. Kristin told me that with summer’s arrival, I’d open myself up to new connections. Nowadays, if I don’t have plans on the weekend, it’s because I chose to stay home. I’ve met so many incredibly lovely people in the Richmond area over the course of the last year, and several of those friendships deepened over the summer. I’m so grateful for where my social life is now, and I finally feel like Richmond is my home and I belong here.- I learned about numerology. Kristin told me the past year or so had been a #9 year for me, and I was moving into a #10, which means a new chapter in life. They flow every 7 years, which makes total sense. She also mentioned the return of Saturn between ages 27 1/2 and 30. I was about to turn 28 at the time, so that insight was also applicable. Having more of an idea of how outside forces and energy can impact my life was just really cool to hear.Kristin also knew I’d adopt a pet (my kitten is the best living being I know). She knew I’d switch jobs by the end of the year (mhm). She knew I’d start studying for something (yep yep). And she told me I needed to continue writing, because it grounds me (sounds about right).So far all but one prediction have come true, but I know why that one hasn’t yet, and it’s because I’m still busy working on myself. I’m not concerned about it anymore. I’m happy with where my life is now. And I really appreciate the reading I had in May.We all have our different opinions on psychics, but if you’re looking for an insightful session, I’d recommend this location wholeheartedly. I can’t speak for the rest of the store, as I only otherwise briefly browsed. As a final note, I’d suggest transcribing the reading, as it’s a helpful memory tool.

I really loved this shop! It’s a lot different than the one crystal shop in the town I live it. It was super busy inside. They had people doing readings of all sorts, and just called a person’s name through the store when it was their turn. The crystal selection was awesome. There were so many!!! I think I bought seven, and that was me holding back. There was a variety of smudge bundles, sage, white sage, lavender, e.t.c. tons of books, large crystals, items for chakra work… anything your metaphysical heart could desire! The only thing that was negative, is that it was so busy the employees were all at the registers, so I couldn’t get any answers for my questions. I have a lot of questions about everything in life. I would definitely go back next time I’m in the Richmond area, which isn’t too often, but I know I’ll be there in May!

My mom and I came in to get readings done in July and were blown away! We made appointments by phone the day before, which was smart as they booked up.We went in at the same time for our readings to 2 separate women. It was eerie because my mom asked about me in her reading and her lady said the same things about me that mine did! 6 months later, I can tell you that the major things my reader said would happen have happened. I was in a ‘mood’ and just decided to Google “psychics near me”. I had never spoken to one before but figured it would be a fun experience because I had always wanted to try it. She’s great! She told me things I didn’t think anyone knew. Her first question caught me off guard because she was able to pick up on something I have holding back but was weighing heavily on my mind and heart. She told me some things that in my heart I knew were true but I wasn’t ready to let the situations go which again, caught me off guard because I hadn’t shared it with anyone. I received a tarot reading from Rachel when she offered them exclusively and it was spot on! I get intuitive readings often and I can always tell when the energy of the guide is in alignment with mine. Her energy was very warm, authentic and inviting, she gave me the exact clarity and confirmation I needed. After my reading she gave me a complimentary reiki healing. Rachel is a fantastic masseuse! Something I love about her is that she doesn’t chit-chat throughout the massage. She allows you to relax and be comfortable while she focuses her energy into healing your body. As an example of her abilities, I walked in with knee pain every time I bent it. I walked out with full mobility- no pain. There were times during the session that I literally felt tension melt away. It was so good, I felt like I had a hangover once it was all said and done. I would 100% return.

I’d heard that Divine Spark was one of THE places to go in Richmond for Thai Massage and was blessed with not one, but two gift certificates. Rachel is a multitalented and very intuitive practitioner in all of the modalities she offers. I indulged in the Divine Spark Experience which included Reiki, Thai Cupping, healing crystals, sound healing with crystal singing bowls and a 30 minute psychic reading for my first appointment, then went back a month later and received an hour and a half Thai massage. Both experiences were PHENOMENAL– I’m a licensed massage therapist and I can attest that I have not had such a profound experience before with any of those modalities. I’m so looking forward to my next session with Rachel! Highly recommend 🙂

The people who left 5 star reviews must be friends of David and Trudy Brown and trying to give them good reviews, because these two are NOT psychic. They are con artist. I have been going to psychic/mediums for four years now and of all the ones I’ve had readings with, only three have truly been psychic. I did little to no talking with those true psychics, all I had to do was say what I wanted to hear about career, love life and someone who passed over. That’s it. I did not feed them any info, they knew. All the others fish for info, and these two were the most obvious ones of all the fakes. When I asked them to describe the woman I had questions about, the man (David) said “does she have blonde hair, brown, black?” Well you just named all the natural hair colors except red. Then he said she resembles me. No, we are polar opposites in appearance. I’m skinny and blonde, she’s full figured and dark. But this is just a taste of everything they said that wasn’t accurate. He also said I have a tattoo on my leg (I don’t) and a multitude of other nonsense. The whole time he talked, I made notes and I noticed the woman (Trudy) trying to read what I was writing down without being obvious about it, although she was. Please, please do NOT waste your hard earned money here!! That’s $240 I wish I had spent on clothes or food or gas. Something other than two obvious scammers. Do NOT waste your money, PLEASE!!

Since meeting David in 2014 through a gallery event and then getting a personal reading after, I can say my life has truly changed! Here’s my backstory if you haven’t yet read any of my other 65+ Yelp reviews of psychics: I’m an R&D & consulting scientist/engineer w/a grad degree in the sciences, and a mystic, spiritual teacher/healer & intuitive. I’ve had cold readings from 300+ psychics in my life. Since I’m a mystic, my life is filled with Divine love & grace; b/c my mind is calm & quiet, and b/c I am open and very well-grounded (these latter 2 qualities are essential for a good reading), it’s very easy for a good psychic to read me, but a poor psychic won’t see much b/c there are no dramas in my life to cause big blips on the psychic radar screen.Please note that when I visit psychics, I’m NOT seeking help w/problems, nor w/wishes, nor seeking answers or advice, nor spiritual guidance. Rather, I visit them because God/Source/Supreme Heart asks me to & b/c it’s fun to connect w/supernatural readers.BTW, I’m VERY good at setting boundaries w/people like pushy salespeople & unethical psychics who might try to con/upsell me. So, when reading my reviews, it may be VERY HELPFUL to bear in mind what I wrote above, b/c your own experience w/a psychic may differ from mine; your mileage may vary! Also, my reviews of psychics are for readings only, and never for extra services they might offer (e.g., healings, clearings, guidance, etc.).This review is for a telephone reading that I received on June 24, 2003 from Cyndi when she was living and working as a psychic in Sedona, AZ, and I was living in the US Northeast. Cyndi was a total stranger to me at the time of the reading; I had found her via her website, after a recommendation from an ex-GF. I called her on the morning of the reading using the phone # on her website to ask for a phone reading, and by early PM, she was giving me a 1-hour phone psychic/tarot/astrology reading. Cyndi is now located in Virginia Beach, VA, and I have an appointment to have another reading with her tomorrow (I will update my review if needed post-reading…)From a reviewer’s point of view, the great value of the fact that Cyndi delivered my reading back in 2003 (and sent me a tape of the reading, which I transcribed and later put in my database) is that of hindsight and perspective: the fact that 17 years have passed since the reading gives me a great opportunity to assess the accuracy of the many predictions that she made for my future in the latter half of the reading, despite the fact that I’d cautioned her that I was not very interested in hearing predictions for the future (aka fortune-telling), since the future is very difficult to predict accurately – with the exception of a very few events that are fixed in time and space – due to human free will & retrocausality. As I always do w/readings, this was a totally cold reading: I told Cyndi, prior to the start, only my full name and date/place of birth, along with the region/state in which I lived, which was all that she asked for. First, let me say up front that I believe that delivering an accurate psychic reading over the phone is far more difficult than is the case during an in-person reading, because it can be much more difficult at a distance to “connect” with the client, and there is no opportunity to touch them (such as on the hand or arm while examining their palms, etc.) or one of their belongings in order to employ psychometric methods.In the first half of the reading, the general life reading portion, where she was describing my general life history and then-current life with specifics and in detail, her accuracy rate was well over 93%. This is very impressive!For the second half of the reading, despite my earlier-mentioned caution that I did not expect predictions for the future due to the attendant inherent obstacles that I mentioned above, Cyndi nonetheless insisted upon offering me a number of detailed predictions for the future. I recently perused a text transcript of the reading (that I had years ago transcribed from the audio tape, long ago transferred to audio CD) that she sent me in 2003, and noticed, with the benefit of hindsight from the perspective of reviewing it 17 years later, that her numerous and quite-specific and detaled predictions for my future had an accuracy rate of over 86%, which is incredibly impressive.I can also say that Cyndi is one of a very few psychics whom I have ever encountered who is able to deliver a very accurate reading over the telephone for a client whom she has never met in person. This is a rare gift. Overall, an amazing reading from a highly-capable and competent reader! I am looking forward to my upcoming second phone reading tomorrow, 17+ years after the first.Postscript, circa 8/12/2020: I had mentioned above that I was scheduled to have a followup phone psychic reading with Cyndi the next day, on Aug. 7. That reading went every bit as well as I had expected it would, and I found her detailed insights to be very accurate. So, my rating is still 5 stars! Amazing!

Cyndi is a truly wonderful psychic.She is caring and very sensitive and this is evident looking at all the clients she has and has had for decades. She not only does intuitive readings, she employs astrology ,reiki, body scans ,healings past life regressions..and meditation, as,well as many other New Age programs. First time for everything. The reader was nice, didn’t seem pushy, and was calm. My complaints is that the place smelt like cigarette smoke and I didn’t see much value in what I paid for. Overall, Im still skeptical, and if my second opinion comes close, maybe I’ll come back but only because this is the only game on this side of town.

This is my favorite go to shop I know there are others closer to me cause I literally drive like a hour to almost a hour and a half to get here. But it’s worth it to me. I’ve been to other shops by the vibes there feel all wrong to me. I come in here and immediately feel at home, relaxed and calm. Heather is so helpful and sweet. So is the other lady that works there but I can’t remember her name right now but that is my fault cause of some memory issues. Cause she was wonderful also. I like how I’m not feeling a pressure to buy and can look around as long as I want and if I have any questions I can go to them for help and not be made to feel some kind of way. Love, love this shop. Every-time I go in here I end up buying something that catches my eye. I just want to thank y’all for being so sweet and welcoming to me. It means so much that I can be here and be myself and just be surrounded by love and peace.

Only reason I dont do 5 star is because I havent used the extra classes yet. But the cozy shop itself has a great energy & packed full of interesting things to see. The owner is very helpful and informative. They have harder to find things too… will I go back? Absolutely! !I hope Secret Roots Thrives for years to come.

Went in for the first time today and loved it! Amazing vibes! Owner is super friendly. Lots of selection of essential oils, herbs, crystals, a great selection of books and so much more! Heather was so knowledgeable and knew exactly what I needed. They also offer Reiki, massage, tarot and classes! Will definitely be going back again very soon!
