I was in Williamsburg for the day with friends and thought it would be fun to get a tarot reading done. I had had a reading serval days prior by someone in Times Square and I was sort of curious how the two would compare so when I saw Sylvia’s sign on the street, I decided to pop in for a quick reading. Her prices were a bit high, imo. I paid $80 for 1/2 deck, which in most other locations is a full deck and beyond. It was Brooklyn though, so I’m not surprised. Overall the reading was good. I’d say about 80% of it made sense with the other 20% not resonating whatsoever. I took notes after because the 20% that didn’t make sense now might make sense later. I wasn’t a huge fan of her trying to upsell me on opening my third eye–especially given the prices. She basically skirted around some answers in my tarot reading and said my third eye was blocked but I could pay more to open it up and have it be read. Meh. Some of the reading was vague and generic (to be expected), but other pieces were spot on and things she couldn’t have known or “guessed” so to speak. A lot of what she said was similar to the reading I had done several days prior, but also unique in other ways.My experience was a positive one. I’m not sure I connected with her in the same way I have with other readers, but I was satisfied with my reading.

I went in because I’ve been feeling extremely stuck and I can’t read my own cards. I did the $65 tarot reading to see what wanted to come through… I still have chills all over. My friend and I feel like we were scammed. She said very vague phrases, and when she did get more specific it was very wrong and did not pertain to us. Saw her sign that says “$25 reading” with no indication on that sign that you could only get it on a specific day. I believe this is a scam and she tells you she only does it on a day that isn’t the day you’re coming in. Huge waste of money ://

Walked by here randomly a few times and decided to stop in with a friend out of curiosity. We never done anything like this before. We didn’t take it too seriously and picked life readings each for fun. They were done separately and privately. Oooof Sylvia did not mince words. Some of the things she said were specific and some were general or vague to me. My friend told me her experience it was different from mine, with different advice. This place is the truth. I worked with Savannah and saw how passionate and determined she was to help me with a variety of my heavy problems, especially at the time when I deemed them impossible to fix. Angel did a relocation reading for me. The reading was over the phone after I gave her all my information.The virtual reading was incredible. She told me why the places I had lived/was living were bad and what places would be good and great for me. So much information! I recorded it all and took notes. I didn’t want to miss anything. I got 14 reports after the reading via email.I did not go to the place she had first on her recommendation list for me – the San Francisco area is just ridiculously expensive and it’s a tough area for allergy sufferers. I did move to the Los Angeles area which she also liked and recommended. I decided on the Venice area. I had never been here and knew no one. I was reluctant to get into any kind of witchcraft, but my apartment was haunted and after hurricane Ida, all kinds of weird shit was happening. My roommate and I were uncomfortable in the apartment. We would feel eyes on us all the time. In desperation, I went to Enchantments to explain the situation, and without missing a beat the young woman knew my apartment complex and said “We’ve got this.” I did everything they said and the apartment transformed dramatically.Enchantments is a great alternative to mainstream crystal shops with practical tools and straightforward advice. They are so awesome, and I’m grateful. Spells can work fast and spells can be stubborn but if you’re patient enough things come to fruition.

Well they brought the same weird vibe from their old location to the new one, in case you were concerned you’d miss out on that. They weren’t completely dismissive and rude as I’ve experienced in the past, I do think they’re trying, but I prefer to go elsewhere.The women in the back working the oil, resin, candle section decided to explain to my friends and I why everything is chaotic right now according to astrology, for 10 minutes, completely unprompted, name dropping planets like they were celebrities. We nodded, waiting for them to finish so we could go back to shopping. Before that it took about 15 minutes just to have her pour me some oil because she was doing something similar to someone else.I bought some books, candles, oils, other things. Spent a good amount and ended up going back to the register more than once. A good thing right? Woman behind the counter kept glancing at me as I browsed, seeming to just wish I’d leave but was biting her tongue about it. At one point I asked her about a symbol and she just said she didn’t know because she was of another religion. I smiled and said so was I, just thought SHE, who worked there, might know. Y’all carry stuff from lots of cultures and spiritual paths, only knowing what’s of your own is bizarre in this space.

I’ve mentioned this before and I even had it on a Google review that had a significant amount of thumbs up — indicating agreeance from others (but has since been removed since that gmail account is no longer active) but it’s beyond inappropriate that your employees beg for tips. Tips are be appreciated, not expected. The woman at the counter asked me 5 times to tip her in a store full of customers. She pointed to the bags and said we packed everything for you. Yes, that is your job. I’m not tipping someone for doing their job. Or when they pour the oils in the back. That is your job. If you’d like, let me pour the oil myself so you don’t feel entitled to a tip. I’ve been a loyal customer for 5 years and I’m no stranger to the increase in prices, but to outright demand a tip is unacceptable. Everyone is struggling financially right now. It’s a horrible economic situation. But I don’t owe anyone a tip. I have my own bills to pay. And if your employees are so publicly dissatisfied with their hourly rate, maybe they should look for another job. I will be posting another Google review and going to social media as well. I got second hand embarrassment from their begging.

I’ve been buying custom carved candles from Enchantments for the last decade. If you believe in the power of intention, manifestation and are open to witchy magic–then you should check this store out. I like to go in and talk to someone behind the candle counter because I’ve learned that sometimes the candle I think I need isn’t really the one I need just yet–or maybe I need to burn one candle before I can burn the one I really want to get to. For instance, last month I went in for a birthday candle (Solar Blast) but after talking to the Enchantments staff about what was going on in my life, it was recommended to me to get an Uncrossing candle to get rid of blockages before using the Solar Blast candle to bring in new positive energy. I love this place. I also got some Motivation spray that I’m convinced is also working. You need to be open minded, mature and sensitive before going into this store.

I was watching one video on Facebook about this place. I was eager to go and find out what magic happens in this place. Beautiful neighborhood and nice place. It’s a small place and tends to be very crowded on the weekends, so if you can go during the week will be better. A lot of books, salts , oils , jewelry and incenses. The magic starts with seeing a black cat running around the place, beautiful cat. You can see different figures and books. At the back you would see the “witches” carving the candles and putting the spells you choose. Glitter in everything and everywhere! My kind of thing! I love glitter!! I didn’t know what to do so I saw everyone reading a binder and I started reading the binder. Inside was the different oils and smells they have. A little description of everything. The “witch” explained everything. I told her what I wanted and she knew which spell to used hahaha , she asked my name and I had to wait 45 minutes for my candle. After 45 minutes my candle was done. The “witch” put the instructions on the bag but she explained a little bit before I left. 4 stars because the guy at the cashier was very nasty and rude. It’s a very interesting place.

I adore this spiritual shop for its custom blend incense and oils! You walk in and instantly feel a blanket of warmth cover you. Everyone in the shop is so nice and super helpful. If you ever have a question you are certain to get an answer. I frequent this place often and always bring a friend! Now my friends also love this place. They have an incredible collections of books, herbs and magical things. Their most well known and unique product is their custom carved candle and boy it’s amazing! One of my favorite things to do is watch them carve each candle. You literally can feel their well intentions and can see wIth how much care they carve each candle. I literally could write pages of how much I love this place! If you’re curious just stop by and take a peek!

Cool items for sale but you can probably find them for cheaper online, or make them yourself. Also the owners or whoever the middle aged women are in the back carving candles are incredibly rude. Would not recommend this shop to anybody!!!
