I walk by Miss Steven’s regularly. Finally, I stopped in to get a reading as I had just learned some news I was having trouble dealing with. Miss Steven is very calm and very welcoming. She read my cards and detected significant negative energy around me. She recommended a spiritual healing and chakra alignment. The healing and alignment left me feeling a bit out of sorts, interesting as I wasn’t really expecting anything at all.That night I meditated with a candle she had given me. The effect was actually overwhelming, I felt like I let a huge amount of negative energy out, and was actually fairly exhausted the next day.I was able to get one more spiritual healing session in before I moved away, with similarly positive results. I now feel overall in a better place, and believe I am in more alignment. Highly recommend her services.

I met with Miss Steven’s right before Christmas time and walked in one morning not knowing if she was even available to meet with me. I got lucky when I knocked on her door and she was able to do a reading. I have had readings before but I have never felt so personally connected to someone when we met. She said things to me about my life and the people in it that she would have never known. We talked about my career and love life. She validated a lot of feelings I had going on at the time and I can feel her energy still with me. Her space is extremely calming and she will look you in the eyes before speaking. She was beyond what I was hoping to get out of a reading from her and have already told another girlfriend of mine to reach out as well. I highly recommend her if you are in the area and want a true tarot reading from someone who has pure energy.

I don’t like writing negative reviews but I hate seeing people being taken advantage of and scammed, especially when they are in a vulnerable place in their life. Her reading was made up of extremely vague facts that apply to almost everyone, especially those who need guidance. Not only that, but a lot of those vague statements didn’t apply to me. For instance, she told me she saw a promotion coming up for me shortly, which simply isn’t true because I recently left my job to focus on my health. Another example – she told me I consistently have relationships quickly come and go, which again isn’t true at all. She frequently asked me if I agreed with what she was saying, whereas a real psychic doesn’t need any confirmation. I wouldn’t recommend coming here. There are real psychics out there, and although they are rare, through enough research and trial and error you will find someone legitimate, especially here in LA. I also generally recommend that if a reading seems phony, not to be shy and let the psychic finish. You’ll end up feeling scammed and wasting money.

This woman looked at me, my energy, my being, and into my soul. I was on the fence, a half way believer. But she changed that. She took one look at me and settled every doubt I’ve lived with. It was insane how she seemed to know me as if she knew me my whole life. A wise aunty that lived in my head this whole time. And knew my whole life to its core basics. All as if she was seeing it from my perspective at that. And I still can’t figure out HOW. I feel like a million pound weight has been lifted. I had a reading with Sarah! She was amazing, so spot on and everything she said resonated with me. Pure energy, definitely did not need to ask any questions to give me insight. Worst phone reading I’ve ever gotten. I received this as a birthday present from a dear friend. Her facetime was down, had to send a picture, the appointment was at noon, she called 18 minutes later. Twice she had to stop to answer the phone and a third time to open the door. Every interruption was followed by “what is your date of birth again?”. According to this woman everything in my life was wrong, she offered myriad services she provides to improve my situation. Honestly, don’t waste your money, as a person who loves readings I can tell you, this one is not worth it.

I have gone to Psychic Eye in Sherman Oaks for many years. I have always liked and trusted the readers of my choosing. I lived in the are therefore I went in the store. I enjoyed all the excellent products they sold, it was fun. Recently I moved form the area and have received readings on the phone instead of in person. I read about the readers and instinctively choose a gentleman called GERALD ALAN!! I want to say wow. Quite accurate and very caring. He has become a bit of a counselor to me. Extremely worth the appointment . All the phone operators that make the appointments are sweet, fun, and understanding!!Thank you Psychic Eye for choosing such a great reader!! And employees.

It’s been awhile for sure but I was reading some of these reviews and a couple though praising the store for one reason or another (any of which are completely befuddling regardless) I noted that some people stated they hadn’t had a reading there, yet. I felt the need to give my experience about a reading there.I’m going to bet if you’re ever had a psychic reading in your life, it was the ONE purchase you make and even if you realize it’s as phony as a $3 bill, and you’re deeply disappointed … YOU STILL PAID FOR IT! I bet you didn’t ask for your money back either. I’m here to tell you that you absolutely can & should do that when you know you’re being take for a ride. I was at a bit of a low point as my mother had passed a few months earlier. I don’t know why, but I booked a reading. I had questions and I guess I was over compensating. It was CLEAR after about 15 minutes (maybe a bit more or less) that we were getting nowhere. It’s not like the bar was set high or that I would hear something about my mother. I knew that most likely wouldn’t have happened and I was prepared for it … but this “psychic” wasn’t even near close on ANYTHING she said. Wrong geography, wrong on relationship status, unknown names, siblings, OMG it was embarrassing. Initially I almost felt guilty for telling her no not me, no I don’t know that name .. No, No, No … but I also noticed she was no longer even “reading cards” but instead she couldn’t take her eyes off me for what I’m certain was her way of catching a glimpse of a reaction she could run with. Finally I just said ok, this is just a bust, I’d like my money back. She didn’t even go to the register to get it. She took it from her own pocket! I’m certain that was in the hope that no one would know I got a bad reading and a refund.Save your money. I’m NOT saying an actual true psychic, empath or medium doesn’t exist. I’m saying that the psychic eye just doesn’t seem to care who they hire. I’m a psychic empath & medium. I decided a long time ago that I would not accept money for my gift and I didn’t. I don’t. I did it briefly at the constant badgering of the people I read & counseled and thought maybe it would help pay the bills … But I found myself giving 3-4 hour readings for very little money. More often by the time I counted in my gas money, and the cost of gifts (crystals or stones I would give my clients to help them with certain needs) It was truly costing me money to read people. I’m no longer interested in reading anyone anymore, so this isn’t just a way to get clients. But I’ll tell you that a big problem for me is that charlatans like the ones at the psychic eye bring shame to those who do truly have something to offer. Rule of thumb … if they feed you names, don’t help. If they guess and guess wrong, don’t react. Simply take the information with a grain of salt and offer NOTHING to indicate they’re right or wrong. Get your reading and leave. Then take a good hard look at the info you received and if you find yourself only buying into the things you liked hearing, and shoving the incorrect information or the “bad” stuff away, make a unbiased opinion (as best you can) and ask yourself this .. if you bought a pair of jeans that didn’t satisfy you just like that reading didn’t, would you have returned them? Don’t force puzzle pieces to fit. And try to find another group of psychics from reviews by people you know and trust. Even then … be a cynic. You should be!

“They’re hereeeee!” Hopefully, you are familiar with that famous film line (“Poltergeist”, duh!) in order for me to set the stage here (pun intended). I’m a special individual existing on a different energy plane than most; being a Psychic Empath (this doesn’t mean you are an empathetic person, per se), Clairvoyant, Claircognizant, Clairsentient, have premonitions and can feel/see paranormal entities/spirits/ghosts. I was only THREE years old when I began to have these experiences and PROVED at the tender age of SEVEN that I was capable of astral projection. But, this is Yelp and not some metaphysical podcast where I am discussing (or trying to convince of) my experiences. All of this DOES relate to the patronage of the Psychic Eye Shop, a Valley staple since 1994. I reviewed this store in the past many years ago and it has seemed to vanish (odd – maybe because it was a poor experience); so let’s try again based on a recent visit which, sadly, also wasn’t up to par.Residing on Ventura Blvd in between Woodman and Fulton; most Valley residents have perused the Psychic Eye whether a member of the psychic/metaphysical/occult/witch community or simply just curious about the store as the Psychic Eye is quite well-known. Consisting of a main store and an ‘annex’; the square footage in total is ample and bigger than expected. One can hardly deny that the Psychic Eye covers a LOT of ground in terms of merchandise. Enter the darkly lit stores and you will find everything from herbs, crystals, wind chimes, spell books, swords, statues, instruments, books, candles, and sage to cutesy items like mugs, notebooks and spoon rests and everything in between. Whether you are searching for yourself or for a gift for a loved one “into this sort of thing”; you will probably find it at Pyschic Eye. Plus, they offer psychic medium readings, tarot and palm. Sounds great, right? What could go wrong? One of the issues with Psychic Eye is that although the selection is VERY vast and extensive; the actual product lines within each category are limited with much being out of stock. There were so many empty shelf stickers that it was ridiculous and I think I saw tumbleweeds on the shelves (haha) . Perhaps the store sells out quickly which is good for them; but then they need to be better at re-ordering and purchasing. Not to mention, Psychic Eye is way overpriced. I can find these items at other similar stores in LA at much more affordable price tags. For instance, the Psychic Eye is most definitely not the place to come for herbs/tinctures or crystals. Both were very sparse with the crystals being virtually empty except for some mainstream quartz and priced higher than many shops I frequent. But the main ‘blah’ of Psychic Eye is the vibe and customer service. You would think that this place is buzzing on the vibrational field but it feels more like a Hot Topic where your teenage daughter works thinking she’s gothic but actually likes Hello Kitty. The store simply doesn’t feel genuine or sincere. This extends to the staff that doesn’t talk to you or make you feel welcome. The female associate on duty stayed behind the cash register and was literally talking to a male customer on a social level the whole time I was inside the store (he was grossly hitting on her to the point that I’m sure she was uncomfortable but she didn’t excuse herself/tell him to stop). A male associate was also present behind the counter rummaging around and he also didn’t acknowledge any customers even when I hovered looking at items inches from both of them. This ambiance (or lack thereof) and poor customer service was why I previously wrote a dissatisfied review. I can’t testify on the quality of the psychic readings as I did not utilize this service and being psychic myself: wouldn’t need to unless for ‘fun’.The Psychic Eye isn’t ‘bad’ but more suited toward those new to this field, buying a gift or simply browsing a store that is out of their comfort zone. The lack of sincerity that my Empath self picks up on, high prices, empty stock and poor customer service results in a store that ranks low. There are better stores of this ilk in the Valley and LA, in general. Psychic Eye is a solid average and not one to which I would return.

Love me some Psychic Eye!I can always feel the strong energy calling me anytime I’m near… This amazing emporium megastore of books, gems, herbs, trinkets, treasures, spiritual goods, tarot, readings and more is one of a kind.Beaming off Ventura Blvd just past the intersecting corner light of Sunnyslope and before Fulton Ave. They have two sides including the Annex in Sherman Oaks just next door as well as multiple shops in Las Vegas and one in Torrance, Los Angeles.I’ve been coming here for a few years to restock up on candles, incense and acquire new stones and crystals for myself, but definitely for others as well. Was happy to find a pendant for a friend and a bracelet for another made for some great quality material. The didn’t have any chains in stock (probably due to the holidays), but I had a few at home I got creative with.The customer service is above and beyond. I interacted with quite a few psychic eye keepers in the store, but didn’t get everyone’s name. The guy that rang me up was really helpful and the person who assisted me with the Tourmaline (protective properties – promotes friendship, love, peace) was super helpful. I think they also work at another bookstore I’m a fan of… That or a case of cool deja vu. Either way everyone here keeps it above and beyond personable.I haven’t had a reading here, but have only heard and seen great things!You can purchase some large antiques, decor and replicas here as well. The parking is street, yet not too hard to manage.Open seven days a week for your intuitive needs.

As a book shop, the Psychic Eye is fun and has an interesting and eclectic mix of things. However, I had a dispiriting reading from Gerald who made me wait 40 minutes, made me wear a mask to get the reading, allowed the session to get interrupted 4 times and rushed me out five minutes before the session was actually up. He also asked me several times if I had paid for the reading even after i said I had and the clerks said I had. At the end of the session, he again asked if I had paid.He said some things to me implying I made a bad choice in the existence I “picked” for this lifetime and was pretty much consigned to a sad existence (which my life isn’t in spite of a rough start ). shame on me for giving this guy a chance and for coming back 13 years after another reading with an equally rude passive aggressive guy who wanted to collect his money but did not want to do a reading for me. The reader i had today did give me a chance to opt out , and repeated his disclaimer that I could take everything he said as I see fit. but as I lean toward giving people a chance, he should have come right out and tell me he got bad vibes from me and suggest somebody else before we even got started.

I’ve driven by here countless times and I’m glad I finally decided to pop in. What an amazing store! Filled with everything your woowoo heart could desire. Unique items like gorgeous hanging dream catchers and chakra balancing mandalas.Books, candles, incense, figurines, witchcraft paraphernalia, jewelry and more. I came looking specifically for crystals, which they didn’t have a lot of, but it was worth the visit. I didn’t get one, but they also do readings here. Easy street and nearby neighborhood parking.

A staple of the area! I have been going to this place for years to get props, home decor items (cool candle holders), gifts or just to browse.The store is big, nicely decorated, you enter a different world. It has a bit of everything spiritual: books, candles, incense, oils, bowls. I get jewelry here sometimes for gifts since they have original, cool items that are pretty reasonable. Otherwise, their merchandise can be a little pricey.They do readings here as well, I never tried it.Street parking. One of a kind store in the Valley worth checking.

Spent probably 2 hours in here looking at all the stuff in this store. I didn’t notice employees other than one register person on and off. They do offer tarot services. All in all if you want to get lost for an afternoon, this is the place. I was able to find street parking easily.

These reviews have to be fake. I went to this psychic in 2020 in a very low moment for me to seek guidance. First of all, I was very sensitive and she could tell. She told me very vague things but during the time I was crying. She then told me I am cursed and that I’ll be late in life. I read the reviews before purchasing my deal (on Groupon). The reviews were good, so I bought a deal. The reading was fine….but her child was there, her nanny was ill that day. My appointment was at 7:30 pm, and the child was probably tired. He needed attention, distracted his mom during the reading, cried, turned the volume up loud on her phone (she tried to entertain him with something on the phone) but she managed to stay on point. I would have much preferred she reschedule my appointment, and even sent a text before I arrived, so she did have my contact information. Readings should be one on one, and so this didn’t work for me. She thanked me for understanding about her child being there, which was odd, she didn’t ask if I was ok with it. When I arrived, there was a man there, a “walk in” customer, and initially I thought it was his child. Also, she seated me in an adjacent room, and I heard most of his reading until the door was closed. I did hear her say something that is a red flag, “do not discuss this with anyone,” as she set up another meeting the following week.

I’m a little bummed now seeing as I purchased a reading for myself. I was so impressed I wanted to gift a reading for my sister (who paid herself and I reimbursed her). After speaking with my sister, I learned everything, almost down to the penny, was exactly the same that was told to me. I was super excited but now deflated considering two people having the same exact reading. I feel bad for my sister who purchased more than what I did. What can a person say about Susan other than out of this world? Amazing? Incredible? Authentic? Connected to Spirit? All of this and more because she is such a kind person and really wants to help her clients not only connect but understand the breadth of the spirit world that is available to all of us. And this is coming from a Christian with a broad conception of God. I believe the part of the Bible that says prophecy is a gift for some people and this gift should be shared. I don’t believe the part that says that mediumship is evil or lets in evil spirits. There is a distinct difference between what Susan does and people with her level of intuition and access to Spirit, and some demonic player.Susan provided unquestionable evidence of her connection to my husband and more recently to my deceased neighbor that I found in his driveway very recently. He was a very good friend of mine. I was praying for him in church and the air conditioning had gone out and I was dying of heat prostration when suddenly this swoosh of cold air came right by my head. Don’t waste your money. Everything she said was way off. Absolutely shameful to take advantage of people looking for a little hope when they are grieving. I should have known better. She kept guessing wrong about how my loved one died. So disgusting. She also rattled off several common names that she thought she was “hearing”. Wrong again. She spoke in generalities, hoping that I would attach some meaning to something she said. After her guesses were wrong, she’d simply say to look for meaning in her words in the future. No Susan, the number 7 won’t mean anything to me later, and I won’t attach meaning to the number by the power of suggestion. What a joke. Her methods were very transparent and frankly, quite stupid.Look at her reviews. Most of them are from “people” with just the one review. They are clearly fake and written by her.Again, shameful. This is my local “go-to” apothecary, workshops, reading & all things spiritual store! I love the outside entrance. Very mystical and enchanting, hidden on Lankershim Blvd just north of Burbank Blvd. The minute you walk into the tiny storefront you will be greeted with friendly employees and amazing items. It’s my kinda “candy store!” Adorned with beautiful crystals, candles, statues, incense, jewelry, oils, herbs, books and so much more! They offer workshops online and in person. Don’t let the front room of the store fool you. It goes further back where they have a room for workshops and a second floor where the “real work” happens. (Readings, tea leaf readings, tarot and psychic) They prefer appointments but you can walk in. (You may have to wait a bit) I have taken several workshops here and have learned and grown so much in my craft! *Check out their website for workshop schedules. Sign up for their newsletter!!! Very informative on what is going on at the store. Monica, Shana, Griffin, Jay and Diane are just a few of the fabulous people who work here. Each one has a special gift that may help you and your needs. **Monica is an Italian Strega who carves the best candles with your specific intentions and reads yea leaves. Very talented!!! ***Shana has a touch for reading people and also can connect with pets who have passed. *listen to Monica and Shana’s podcast “Wine, Spirits and Witches!” Love the way these 2 work off each other bringing so much to each episode. ~Plenty of free street parking and I do believe they have a small lot in the back. ~Prices are moderate. ~The apothecary area is awesome!!! If they are out of an ingredient you need don’t stress they can order it for you.

One of the managers (Jerel) is a well of knowledge & very amicable. The ppl are friendly & very willing to assist & educate with any questions. Clearly their aim is to help u with the needs of ur journey, not to make a sale.There r readings available upstairs in private rooms. The ambiance coincides with the aura of their products. It feels like a “safe place.”Easy street parking with no fees.(Nice restaurants down a few blocks on Magnolia, recommended by the manager.)

Crystals for great prices. They are so passionate and well versed in the type of business they run. I love coming here for my little get away days.

Some of the people who work there are nice and helpful but the married couple who runs it are not. They are not very welcoming or nice to their customers. Usually I haven’t had to deal with them but post covid and Hollywood strikes they let a lot of people go and customer service has gone down hill. If you like someone there try to get their direct contact so you can just go to them directly, they make more money and you pay less and avoid supporting the overhead of the jerk owners.

I was recommended by a client of mine to get a reading done at the green man store due to certain circumstances and she directed me to Brandon.. lets just say he’s AMAZING. Over the course of the past two years he’s seriously has been a huge help. He’s truly gifted and makes you feel so comfortable when it comes readings. I’ve been wanting to write a review about this place for a few years now, and have been unsure to do so since my last reading with one of the readers named Tommy left me traumatized. It’s taken me 3 years to speak up about it.I was referred to Tommy through my friend / roommate at the time during the pandemic. On our initial call, Tommy seemed like a nice person very engaged and ready to dive in to our reading. Since his energy seemed good, I continued to do a readings with him every three to four weeks for about 7 months.I engaged in readings with Tommy around my living situation, family, and career. Towards the tail end of our reader/client relationship was when things really took a turn. I had been working for months on a project that was a few weeks away from launching and he had suggested that I purchase a “solar blast candle” for the success of this project. He then referred me to Monica from The Green Man Store who specializes in making these candles. And since I did not live in LA, I had my friend who was going home for the weekend pick it up for me. A few days later, the candle was in my possession and ready for me to light up. Upon pulling the glass jar container out from the paper bag, I see a yellow candle inside the jar with an interesting half rainbow made of glitter slapped across one side of the candle and herb like seeds coated the bottom of the jar with a very strong alluring smell made of essential oils and fennel seeds.I was now ready to light the candle but something in my gut did not feel right so I took a second to think about it. I picked up the candle to took a closer look and what I notice was shocking to me. The glitter half rainbow appeared to be covering the actual picture of a phallus (penis) etched into the candle hidden behind the rainbow facade and was pointed downwards with little lines coming out of the tip of the phallus shooting towards the seeds. By now, my gut and senses were definitely unsure about the intention of this candle, which brought me to my next step was to ask Tommy what this candle is about and why there was a hidden phallus and lines (representing sperm) behind the rainbow. I texted him the next day and he responded with a audio message back. His response seemed to be a little distant and tone of voice was not like how he usually sounded on our readings. So I took it a step further to get clarity and booked what turned out to be my last reading with him.On the call I asked him what the candle is meant for and in his words he said, “it’s like ‘borrowing energy’ from the planets Venus, Jupiter, & Mars.. making you look more attractive like there’s this sparkling energy about you where people will gravitate towards you…and that’s in support of you having a successful project release.” The word that popped out at me was “borrowing energy”. So I kindly said back to him that, “I don’t believe in manipulating other people into liking me or this project. People have free, if they don’t like it, they don’t have to pretend to.” He did not really like what I had to say so he gaslighted me.He said things like, “you’re on the edge of going berserk,” rudely made a spat noise and directed it on my lineage, and even invoke some latin sounding incantations or spell on me. I was totally not expecting this kind of behavior especially after months of reading with him and having shared so much in our readings about myself, my family, and things I’m dealing with. Of course what I shared was in the form of questions and his answers were in the form of rune readings. And from time to time, he suggested questions for me to ask. After that reading, I felt my world went gloomy instantly and it impacted me for over three years. I still have moments when it comes back to ping at me, hence why I’m writing this review to share this negative experience. No paying customer, or person deserves to be treated this way – PERIOD! Be aware folks you won’t know if a spell is being casted on you to like their services or readers.Another thing to note, my friend/roommate who referred me was also doing readings with Tommy before I did. She was dealing with a past ex-breakup that took five years to get over. Tommy in one of their readings suggested that she purchase a cord-cutting candle or make one since she wasn’t living in LA. After his recommendation, she was somewhat frantic and in a hurry to get her hands on this candle and I remember her feeling also iffy about it but she was under some spell. Next thing you know, she lights the candle for 24 hours and a few days later the energy of the house hold begins to feel heavy and the arguments between her and I ensue. Tommy suggested that we don’t burn sage due to it leaving holes in the “energetic fabric” so we didn’t – complete B.S. She ended moving out 2 months later following the lighting of the candle and we are no longer friends. Her and another friend who Tommy suggested the candle to father’s both passed around the same time.

Julie is gifted! I felt very safe and calm which was so awesome considering my anxiety, she’s mastered her practice. Randomly stopped by her shop on my way home last week and she very kindly recommended a chakra balancing meditation for me (which I’ve never done), I usually don’t sign up for these kind of things but I got a great feeling so I did it — and it was so helpful and HEALING! Michelle’s way of communicating feels like getting a big hug from your favorite soul sister whenever you feel unsure about life. I booked my first session with Michelle this past Tuesday and we ended up doing a regular phone call with one photo sent to her due to a power outage in her area. Kid you not, within the first two minutes of my reading, she was spot on about the major decisions that were going on in my life at the moment. She gave such positive clarity for me in the realms of romance and in regards to the safety of my son. That session was so good I ended up booking her last minute for a FaceTime session two days later. This time I had specific questions in regards to business and love.
